I was recently sent some samples of Ragu's new Fresh and Simple Pouch, microwavable pouches that are ready in about 90 seconds. They're vacuum packed, and great for the pantry, since they don't take up a lot of room. And Hooray! No glass bottles to break and seep tomato sauce all over your tiled kitchen floor or into the family room' s carpet. And yes, we have been known to all sit in front of the TV and eat spaghetti in the family room. I've never been one of those "eat over the sink!" types of Moms. Which is probably why we are planning on getting new carpet this year...
Anyway, back to the Ragu Fresh and Simple Pouches!
They come in three varieties, with no preservatives or sugar added, and they're really convenient. If you've ever made pizza with Ragu sauce, or chicken parmesan, as I have, you've come to appreciate not having to mix up a nice Italian tomato sauce from scratch, especially after soccer practice or Robotics league meetings that go on until the evening hours. Just like the Ragu you are used to, these new Ragu pouches go perfectly with pasta and chicken for a quick fix on a week night.
